  • Can I change my plan in the course of the year?
Yes, of course. Investors can upgrade, downgrade or cancel their plan anytime they want (with a quarter written notice). If the Investor upgrades a package in the course of the year, there’s a prorated payment to match the upgrade (EX: if the client signs for the Active Pack but after 6 months ends up doing 7 deals or more the client is required to pay the prorated payment for the first 6 months of the year). We therefore recommend our clients to assess the number of deals they are likely to do per year, and to "get it right" from the start. T&Team will of course help in this assessment.
  • How many plans do you offer?
There are 5 Annual Plans, paid quarterly in advance as follows: 1. Basic Pack- 1 deal per year 2. Cool Pack- 2-3 deals per year 3. Active Pack- 4-6 deals per year 4. Premium Pack- 7-9 deals per year 5. Institutional Pack- 10+ deals per year
  • Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The agreement is an annual agreement, renewed automatically or cancelled anytime with 1 quarter in advance written notice.
  • Is there a Success Fee and how is it calculated?
10% flat Success Fee based on the profits made for the client for companies introduced and where an investment has been completed (if the client cancel his/her plan the Success Fee survives cancellations)
  • What does the process include?
T&Team is tailoring the VC activity for each client. Some clients will just want access to and participation in quality deals and leading the investment for them, while other clients will require setting up the entire VC activity from A to Z: from crafting the thesis and the investment strategy, to deal-flow, deal execution and follow-up until exit, with T&Team representing them on the portfolio company's board of directors.
  • Does T&Team get paid to raise capital for startups?
Absolutely not. T&Team works exclusively with "buy-side" clients such as Family Offices, HNWIs, and Institutional Investors. T&Team doesn't work for and doesn't get paid, in any shape or form, by the startup companies presented to the clients.
  • Is this considered a Direct Investment?
Yes indeed. The client is investing directly in the portfolio company (usually recommended to setup a SPV which will invest in the portfolio company) and is registered on the portfolio company's cap table.
  • What happens with the investments I've already made if I decide to cancel my plan?
You can cancel your plan anytime. For investments you've already made, there’s continued follow-up necessary until the investment is exited (equity sold either in IPO or M&A or Secondary). Furthermore, the 10% Success Fee for the investments you've already made survives cancellations. Contact us to learn more.
  • What does the annual fee for the plan include?
The annual fee is all inclusive, so there's nothing else to pay to use the services. Additional pre-approved expenses are paid only if the clients are specifically engaging T&Team to represent them in an event or business travel, in which case the expenses are agreed in advance and pre-approved by writing.
  • When are invoices due?
Invoices are paid on reception, covering services for the upcoming quarter. First invoice is issued at agreement signature, from which point the agreement goes into effect.
  • What is the legal relationship between T&Team and its clients?
T&Team works as your external expert "on demand" VC provider. There’s no legal attachment or employee/employer relationship between the client and T&Team.
  • Does T&Team have exclusivity on the deals it presents to its clients?
Yes, indeed. Any company presented by client is registered in the annex of the agreement, and is subject to exclusivity of T&Team within its proprietary deal-flow. After being presented to client, the client cannot approach the company without T&Team's approval and is subject to T&Team's agreement.
  • What is an FAQ section?
An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
